OMT-Veyhl USA was established in 2006 in Holland, MI as a joint venture between German companies OMT Gmbh and Veyhl Gmbh, industry leaders in Europe.
OMT-Veyhl is a subsidiary of Nordwest Industrie Group GmbH (NWI), a group of global companies that develop and manufacture high-end office furniture for the working world. These include our immediate sister companies OMT, Veyhl, OMT-Veyhl Brazil and OMT-Veyhl Asia. The exchange of experiences and technology between these companies and sharing production capacity worldwide makes us a strong partner for the office furniture industry.

We implement the practice of Kaizen, a Japanese philosophy meaning “continuous improvement”. Beginning with employee onboarding, every member of our team is trained with the Kaizen philosophy in mind. All employees are encouraged to contribute to the conceptualization and implementation of time and cost-saving procedures.
Our employees are the foundation of our development, progress and continuous improvement. To ensure the quality of both our standard and custom products, we have designed and implemented a very robust and value-oriented Product Development Process (PDP). The PDP starts with the most up-to-date engineering software and analysis tools, rigorous testing in both software and physical spaces, cost analysis and extensive documentation which ensures production readiness and quality assurance.
In 2006, a 14,000 sq ft rental facility on 136th Street was acquired.
Two German entities, OMT and Veyhl, formed a strong alliance and brought their innovation to the United States, co-creating OMT-Veyhl, a US entity focused on the ergonomic office furniture market.
In July, OMT-Veyhl moved into their brand new 45,000 ft building on James Street in Holland, Michigan.
Construction begins to double the production and office area to a total of 110,000 sq ft.
Another expansion is completed to bring the facility size to a total of 220,000 sq ft.
Ground was broken in October in preparation for the 2018 expansion to enlarge shipping and receiving departments.
