Inventory Control Analyst, Employee at OMT-Veyhl since April 2021.

What are you most proud of in your career so far?

I am most proud of vastly improving our on time shipping and building a culture of getting it done no matter what in the shipping department while building instructions and tools to help the team succeed. Recently I am proud of the increased accuracy of our inventory and having more organization and less stock outs to help us have what we need when we need it.

What is your favorite thing about working at OMT-Veyhl? 

People. I like good hard-working stand up kind of people who do the job and pull in the same direction to move a company forward.

What does it mean to you to help the company? 

Helping the company means filling in wherever I can help the most.

What is your favorite hobby to do outside of work?  

It has always been playing sports and staying active, but as I age, it’s becoming more of watching my kids and coaching or mentoring them to enjoy what they enjoy the most and hoping they succeed and find passion.

Do you have a favorite car/truck brand / vehicle?

Not really. I like some, but am not a total car guy or truck guy. I drive an F-150 but keep thinking it would make more sense to go electric.

What is your favorite sport? What team do you cheer for?

Favorite sport has always been college football – specifically University of Michigan football. My mom was born in the family home in Ann Arbor in 1939 about ten blocks from Michigan stadium. I drove to Ann Arbor to help my uncles and cousins park cars and manage a parking lot for many many home games throughout the years up until the late 20 teens when my Aunt passed away and the old homestead was sold.

What is your favorite type of music?

My music taste is quite varied. I’d say rap, old school rap, metal, 90’s grunge, some 80’s. EDM is fun, anything with a good beat (that makes me sound ancient saying it like that) – but I can listen to classical music and classic rock but not very often country unless it’s party country.

What did you want to be when you grew up (career)?

I wanted to be a professional athlete – football player when I was young, then switched to wanting to be an engineer, then accountant, then teacher, and wound up with a business degree.

What is something else about you that people at work might not know about you?

I put my pants on two legs at a time for almost two years of my life just so that I wouldn’t “put my pants on one leg at a time just like everyone else.”
