Check out our newest employee spotlight for Tyler Rice:

Human Resources Manager, Employee at OMT-Veyhl since December 2025.

What are you most proud of in your career so far?

That I’ve been viewed as a trusted resource to others that balances the needs of the business with the needs of employees.  I’ve had the opportunity to mentor and develop several peers throughout my career and take great pride and satisfaction in that.  I’m also thankful that I still maintain relationships with people I worked with at all of my past jobs that still are looking for advice, guidance, or just a good laugh from me.

What is your favorite thing about working at OMT-Veyhl?

I enjoy the people the most.  It is a team first culture where everyone is willing to help out wherever they are needed with a positive attitude.

What does it mean to you to help the company?

In our roles in Human Resources, we fit into the big picture by ensuring we have the right people in the right positions at the right time to ensure we meet our customer expectations.  We also help by ensuring all employees feel welcomed and help resolve any issues or questions they may have related to their job.

What is your favorite hobby to do outside of work?

I enjoy spending time with family and friends and watching my kids play their respective sports (currently soccer and volleyball).

What is your favorite sport? What team do you cheer for?

I’m a Detroit fan on the pro sports side and Notre Dame fan on the college side.  I like most all sports, but football probably tops the list.

If you could have any superpower, what would it be?

That’s a tough one.. I’d probably go with being able to fly.  Besides being able to get around quicker, seeing everything from a birds eye view above would be pretty cool.

What is your favorite food? Home cooked or from a restaurant?

A nice steak off the grill at home, with some potatoes and vegetables is always hard to beat.  But, my wife is definitely the cook in our house and anything she makes always turns out delicious.

What is your favorite vacation you’ve been on?

We’ve gone on a few Caribbean cruises, which have all been great.

What is something else about you that people at work might not know about you?

I once sold books door to door in southern Oklahoma for a summer during college.  Needless to say, after that experience, I realized that sales was not going to be my career choice!
